Dream Sports is closing Dream Money, its financial services platform, about 14 months after its official launch in May 2025.

A notice dated 30 June 2026 on the Dream Money website said the platform was discontinuing business operations with immediate effect, including digital gold, mutual fund distribution, fixed deposits and lending services.

The Dream Money app will remain accessible until 30 July 2026 for customers to view statements, holdings and account details. After that date, the platform will cease to operate.

Dream Money said existing investments would not be affected, adding that all investments are safe and will continue to be held by its respective partners.

The company has stopped accepting new customer registrations, new lump-sum investments and new loan applications. It will also cancel all active recurring SIPs on the platform from 7 July 2026.

Dream Money offered products including mutual funds, digital gold, fixed deposits and loans. Its website describes it as a financial services platform launched in May 2025, with more than one million users.

Customers with digital gold holdings can withdraw or liquidate them through Dream Money until 15 July. The holdings will then be migrated to Augmont over the following 10 days, during which withdrawals and liquidation will not be available. From 26 July, Augmont will manage and service those holdings.

Mutual fund investments will continue to be held in customers’ names and serviced directly by the relevant asset management companies. Users can redeem or withdraw mutual fund investments through Dream Money until 30 July, after which they will have to deal directly with the respective asset management company.

Fixed deposits will remain with partner banks. Dream Money said customers can withdraw or cancel fixed deposits through the platform until 31 July, or continue to hold them with the bank and receive servicing directly from the bank thereafter.

Loan repayments and auto-debit mandates will continue to be managed by the lending partner, not Dream Money, the notice said.

The company did not give a reason for the shutdown.

The closure comes as Dream Sports continues to adjust its business after major regulatory changes in India’s online gaming sector. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibited online money games while allowing regulation of e-sports and online social games. The accompanying rules came into force on 1 May 2026.

Dream11, Dream Sports’ flagship fantasy sports platform, was among the companies affected by the ban. Several online gaming firms suspended or scaled back real-money gaming operations after the law was passed.

The sector has also faced pressure from taxation disputes. In May 2026, the Supreme Court upheld the levy of 28% goods and services tax on the full value of stakes placed on online gaming platforms, including for past periods.

Dream Sports continues to operate several businesses, including Dream11, FanCode, DreamSetGo, Dream Cricket, Dream Horizon, Dream Sports Foundation and DreamStreet.
